Brief
Project overview
The Chemical Management System provides a centralized platform for registering, reviewing, and governing chemicals used throughout manufacturing and compliance processes. It maintains chemical records, Safety Data Sheets, regulatory classifications, restricted substance requirements, supporting documentation, and printable safety or compliance labels.
The system uses AI-assisted identification and external data sources such as PubChem, EPA databases, and OSHA hazard classifications to help validate chemical information and identify regulatory concerns. Safety Data Sheets can be uploaded and processed through OCR to extract key details, reducing manual entry and improving record accuracy.
Internal Restricted Substances List rules can be applied to flag prohibited or controlled chemicals, while role-based access helps ensure that sensitive compliance functions are limited to authorized users. Each chemical record provides a traceable history of documentation, classifications, approvals, and related files.
By centralizing chemical information and automating document processing, regulatory research, and label generation, the application supports workplace safety, sustainability initiatives, compliance reporting, and audit readiness.
